This RM3100 professional compass/magnetometer has excellent signal to noise ratio, no drift and accurate magnetic field measurement. It can provide professional routing accuracy and orientation calculations for your vehicle. With this compass, your vehicle can navigate through waypoints with minimal magnetic interference from motor coils and metal parts. For best results, place this module away from motor coils and other metal parts, eliminating one of the biggest sources of failure on your drone.
Based on PNI's proprietary magneto-inductive measurement technology, this 3-axis magnetometer provides high-performance resolution and repeatability. It has a very high level of resolution (10 nT) and ultra-low magnetic hysteresis, making it ideal for applications requiring high precision routing.
Due to the DroneCAN output protocol, it can provide a robust and reliable connection over relatively long distances and the cabling is less complicated because you can have one bus to connect all your DroneCAN peripherals. Additionally, it does not occupy any serial ports on the control board.
